Let’s Go Well-being • Well-being Design Pretest

The consultant team adopted a scientific approach to select the first 5 estates to undergo the Well-being Design Pretest. By looking into the age, potential impact, management model, scale of the estate, actual needs and maintenance schedule of 193 public rental housing under Housing Department,

Estates are:
(1) Kai Yip Estate, (2) Chak On Estate, (3) Fu Shan Estate, (4) Shui Pin Wai Estate and (5) Mei Lam Estate, were shortlisted.

HAppy Family ‧ Colourful and Fun Estate Project

“HAppy Family” is to carry out facade beautification and minor improvement projects for existing public housing estates. About ten existing public housing estates were selected for the project, by taking into account several factors such as the overall environment, facilities, nearby communities, building conditions, and maintenance of the housing estates. These estates will become exemplars of the project, as the team derives more innovative design solutions for the public housing in Hong Kong.

2023-2024 Estates are:
(1) Butterfly Estate, (2) On Ting Estate, (3) Kwai Fong Estate, (4) Wan Hon Estate, (5) Shun Tin Estate,
(6) Kai Tin Estate, (7) Hing Man Estate, (8) Yue Wan Estate, (9) Sun Chui Estate, (10) Lee On Estate.

2024-2025 Estates are:
(1) Ping Shek Estate, (2) Fu Cheong Estate, (3) Lung Tin Estate, (4) Hung Hom Estate. (5) Shek Wai Kok Estate,
(6) Choi Yuen Estate, (7) Tai Yuen Estate, (8) Tsz Lok Estate, (9) Sam Shing Estate and (10) Yau Oi Estate.

HAPPY GREEN FAMILY

To create a comfortable living environment, the “Landscape Improvement Program” aims at planting diverse vegetation in public housing estates to provide residents with greenery, purified air, and shading – allowing them to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and feel closer to nature. The program also enhances the quality of outdoor spaces, adding color and vitality to residents’ homes.
