Through formulating research strategies, engaging and listening to public housing residents, as well as different professionals and stakeholders; the Well-being design guide consultant will explore and rethink the design of the estate environment, facilities, and public spaces, adopting a human-centric neighbourhood approach. The design guide will serve as a reference for the future design of new public housing estates and the improvement works of existing estates. Well-being design guide aspires to enhance the sense of well-being of Hong Kong public housing residents.
Through an extensive literature review encompassing over 200 sources and thorough analysis of local and international case studies, the team endeavoured to distil the vast realm of well-being into 8 distinct and diverse concepts.
The Well-being Design Guide will be announced in September 2024.
